| Host Country Programmes for WORLD 2006 not only demonstrates our hospitality and excellent services, but also provide more platforms for networking, exchange and business discussions in an array of specially designed environments, formal or more relaxed. Host Country organised social events or activities include the Welcome Reception, Farewell Reception, Side programmes, VIP and Spouse programmes, to name but a few.

| National Days and Social Events
The WORLD event provides an excellent environment for top government officials to meet with industry members from around the globe. During the event week, apart from ITU and Host Country social events, there will be all sorts of top-level meeting grounds created by various governments and industry leaders, both on the show floor and around town. For example, in ITU TELECOM WORLD 2003, National Days and Receptions organised by the USA, Japan, France, China, Canada, so on and so forth. Do keep an eye on ITU's Official Event Calendar. |

| To support ITU's marketing efforts and to foster understanding of the Mainland ICT market, a Business Facilitation Programme will be launched by the Host Country Secretariat, with various activities and services for event participants BEFORE, DURING and AFTER the WORLD 2006 event.

Discovery Trips to Mainland China may be organised during, immediately before or after the event period. These are short market visits which may take one or two days to help you get to know more about the ICT industry environment in Mainland China. |
