Consul General Liao Juhua Meets with New Director of New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade Auckland Office

On June 29, Consul General Liao Juhua met with Mr. Warwick Hawker, the newly appointed Director of New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade Auckland Office, at the Chinese consulate general office in Auckland, and exchanged views on some issues of common concern.

Consul General Liao briefed Mr. Hawker on the duties of the Chinese Consulate General, and the general information about the Chinese Community, the Chinese students in Auckland, as well as the friendly exchanges between China and the Consular district. Mr. Hawker made a self introduction of his diplomatic career, and duties of the MFAT Auckland Office.

Mr. Hawker used to work in the New Zealand institutions in China, Iran and Tonga.

The two sides agreed to enhance working ties, including close communications and coordinations with regard to issues of common interests in the future.
