Applicants Are Advised to Log in to the Right Website for Chinese Visas
2024-03-27 13:05

Recently, we have received inquiries from some applicants who reported that when applying for a Chinese visa online, the system consistently prompts them with "Retrieve An Application" and requests input of the application ID. However, they have never previously filled in any information, and therefore do not have an application ID at hand. It is very likely that they have logged in to the outdated website. The Consulate-General kindly reminds you as follows:

Since June 15, 2023, we have officially launched a new visa application website (https://consular.mfa.gov.cn/VISA/). Applicants residing in Auckland, Waikato, and Northland are advised to take note and utilize the new website to apply for visas.

Applicants can sign up and log in with the email address, fill in the form online, and upload supporting documents. After submitting the visa application, you can log in at any time to check the processing status. Once it indicates "Passport to be Submitted", you can come to the visa office to submit their passport during working hours, with no need for an appointment.

To offer greater convenience to applicants, we are now open for passport submissions both in the morning and in the afternoon.
