2022-11-22 07:00

In order to improve services, the Consulate-General of P.R.C. in Auckland will officially launch the Consular Authentication Appointment service on 21 November 2022, and from the day on applications without appointment will not be accepted. The requirements are as follows:

1. Appointment

When applicants from the consular districts of our consulate (Auckland, Waikato, Northland) apply for consular authentication, please log in to the website: https://consular.mfa.gov.cn/LEGALIZATION/ (“LEGALIZATION” are capital letters) to open the Consular Authentication Appointment page.

Applicants need to register a new account by email before logging in for the first time. After login, please select OCEANIA-NEW ZEALAND-AUCKLAND, fill in the applicant's information and authentication information as required, and make an appointment time. After the appointment is completed, please print the "Application Form for Consular Authentication by the Embassies and Consulates of the People's Republic of China" with the barcode and sign the form.

2. Submission

Due to the pandemic, Visa Office isn’t open to the public at the moment. After preparing the application documents, applicants can post or drop off the application to us on the appointment date. We have a drop off slot at our front door.

Documents required as follows:

1) One copy of “Application Form for Consular Authentication by the Embassy or Consulate of the People's Republic of China in New Zealand. The application form must be signed by the applicant himself at the “Applicant's Signature” (two places in total). If the application is submitted by an agent, in addition to the applicant's own signature, the agent must also sign at the “Agent's Signature”.

2) Original and photocopies of documents authenticated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of New Zealand and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand.

3) A copy of the data page of the applicant's valid passport (if the application is made by an agent, a copy of the agent’s passport shall be submitted together).

6) Other supplementary documents required according to individual circumstances.
