The Consulate General is open from 9:00am-12:00pm for application and 2:00pm-4:00pm for pick up, Monday to Friday (except public holiday).

2. The Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Auckland only authenticates documents that have already been authenticated by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand.

PROCEDURES

Step 1: Send the document to a local Notary Public for notarization.

Step 2: Send the notarized document to the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs for authentication.

Step 3: Send the authenticated document to the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand for authentication.

Step 4: Send the above document to the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Auckland for authentication.

You need to fill in an application form for authentication either at the Consulate General or download it from our website :http://www.chinaconsulate.org.nz/eng/. The copy of each page of the authenticated document and the copy of the identify page of your valid passport are required. We may require some additional documents in order to complete the authentication.

3. FEES AND HOW TO PAY

Documents can generally be collected on the 5th working day. The fees are NZ$ 40 per civil document and NZ$80 per document regarding property, finance or business. 

Express Service will take 2-3 working days and the fees will additionally charge NZ$40 per document.

Please pay by Eftpos, Credit Card (Visa Card & Master Card Only),Bank Cheque, money order which is payable to CONSULATE GENERAL OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA IN AUCKLAND when you collect your document at the visa office in person. Cash, personal cheque, and company cheque are not accepted.
