The Chinese Consulate General in Auckland was established in 1992. Its consular district covers Northland, Auckland and Waikato Region. It is located in Auckland which is the biggest city in New Zealand and the economic, scientific and educational centre of the whole country. In our consular district, there are a larger number of Chinese communities and active overseas Chinese who care about and support China's development. They have made important contributions to promoting Chinese culture and tradition and to the friendly cooperations between China and New Zealand.

The comprehensive strategic partnership between China and New Zealand is ushering in a new large-scale development. As the eighth Chinese Consul General in Auckland, I will work hard with my colleagues by seizing this opportunity to promote exchanges and cooperation between China and our consular district, to provide efficient consular services to the overseas Chinese wholeheartedly, to protect the legal rights of Chinese citizens abroad firmly.
